AUTOBAHN-COLLECTIBLES … interesting cars bought, sold & shipped worldwide from Germany and Southern California.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
SERVICES: We arrange shipping to any destination worldwide. We offer logistics for vehicles via all major ground and – if expedited transportation needed – air carriers. Parts are usually sent by either DHL Deutsche Post (German Postal Services), USPS, FedEx or UPS.
We work directly with the importer’s / buyer’s nominated customs house broker - so called customs handling broker (CHB) - or recommend a CHB at the port of entry. It’s mandatory to contract a CHB for the entry since 9-11.
Autobahn-Collectibles served international markets for years, building up knowledge in those areas that benefit our customers.
SHIPPING COSTS: The costs of shipping depend on the size and shipping method. 20 or 40 feet exclusive or shared containers and RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) vessels … the at least expensive and most common way nowadays.
Please contact us for a quote to a convenient destination or major port near you. All shipping and affiliated costs are usually directly paid to the shipping company upon arrival of the car.
We offer comprehensive and compatible “shipping packages” including sea fare, ground transportation to the habor, export customs clearance, insurance, port handling and necessary paperwork. Basically everything until the freight hits shores again.
These packages are usually “C.I.F. port of entry” unless stated otherwise.
C.I.F.: Cost, Insurance and Freight, indicates that the exporters price includes all charges up to the arrival of the goods at the point of discharge from the vessel including the cost of insuring them against loss whilst in transit, and provide the buyer with the documents necessary to obtain the goods from the carrier. Buyer is responsible for further logitics (pick-up) and CHB from that point.
We offer the above services on a self-expense-basis. Shipping rates and affiliated costs are not negotiable.
FEES & DUTY: Buyer is responsible for local or state taxes, fees and duties at the destination.
SAFETY: No goods allowed inside cars unless prior arrangements have been made and a packing/inventory list with values provided. Note: insurance does not cover articles inside vehicles. RoRo vessel shipments do not allow goods or parts in cars. Batteries might be disconnected and fuel needs to be drained to less than a 1/4 tank.
